How do you get your avatar to show up as your picture?

How to I get my avatar to show up as my profile picture?

  • I'm getting a little frustrated because my picture is that silly annoying gray smiley face thing and it wont change to my avatar. Can someone explain to me why its not working. Thanks!!! :D

    If you have already created an avatar and it is not appearing be sure to follow step C̲ completely;. A̲   If you want a C̲a̲r̲t̲o̲o̲n̲ avatar then create or modify one at http://avatars.yahoo.com and then go to C̲. B̲   If you want a P̲h̲o̲t̲o̲ avatar then upload an image to your Pulse Profile at http://pulse.yahoo.com/y . Click on the current photo to get the update options. Select the one you want to use and then go to C̲. NOTE: If you hide your profile the image will not show up on Yahoo! Answers. C̲   Now go to the Yahoo Answers profile at http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit . You can pick the cartoon or photo to use. A box will open click on the image you wish to appear then click use selected photo. PICTURE Go to Yahoo profile http://profiles.yahoo.com/ put the arrow in the box where the grey smylie face is and you will see a popup that says (Change Photo), click it. Another box will open click on Add Photo now click Browse. This will bring up all the files on your computer. Click the folder with the green up arrow untill you locate a file that says My Documents, then search the list for a file called My Pictures and double click it. This will bring up all your pictures, select the picture that you want and click it the file name will appear in the top box, click open, 2. Enter the text displayed in the box. And click Upload. You will go back to the select photo box. Click one time on the picture a orange box will appear around the picture then select Use Selected Photo. Repeat to add more pictures. Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Preview then OK.
