How do you get your yahoo avatar as your profile picture on here?

HINT: To remember all the steps, keep this answer open in a tab, or print out a copy, or make a Notepad file to keep referring to as you follow the steps (Open the Notepad file in a tab, then minimize it as you work away) These details may seem long-winded, but the steps are not always obvious to some. For a cartoon avatar, create it here: http://avatar.yahoo.com There are many many choices in styles appearances and colors - you can save more than one choice. Remember to SAVE it. Select the picture (avatar), Click 'use picture', then Save and Exit. There are many choices to be made, but remember to save your final choice. Return to the Yahoo Answers site: http://answers.yahoo.com To activate this avatar on YA site: left click, in order: your current avatar or YA name, ‘Edit My Info’, Browse and select, ‘Preview’ (bottom), then OK. OR for Messenger: your current avatar or name, ‘Share my Picture'’, click the suggested pictures box, Browse, highlight and open the file, then OK. P.S.: Mine also shows up in the main Messenger program, because I used another technique. Open the Messenger, click Messenger tab > My Display Image > Share My Avatar. You could also use a picture here. BONUS: The avatar will also appear in your Yahoo Mail too.

1st one for a pic, second for an avatar. Click on view my profile. Double click on your picture or avatar where it says change your picture.Box opens with options to upload a picture. Upload the picture from your computer, select it and you are done. Go to edit my preferences at the top right of your home page. You will see a grey smiley marked get my avatar now. Click that and you can create your avatar on the page that opens.
