What happened to the old aim profiles?

AIM profiles?

  • If your not on AIM then can you see someones AIM profile? I cant see anyone elses profile that is on my offline contact list, but this one guys. It says he is offline, but I can still see his AIM profile. Does this mean that he is invisible? Or does he have his settings set to where you can veiw his profile even when he is offline?

    It might do that because if he shuts the eye hes still on but it shows hes off [[invisable]]. I don't know any other way. But Im not that good with computers anyways.

Some people who use AOL as there internet service provider can use there screen name to talk to others using AIM...They just use regular aol messaging to chat therefor they cannot create and AIM profile because they are not usein AIM. Its kinda hard to explain =)

I can see Aim profiles even if they are offline. I'm not sure why you can't. No it doesn't mean they are invisible... there is no way to tell that. I suppose it could be a setting although the default must be that you are able to see it, because I know mine can be seen when I'm offline and I never changed anything.
