How do you get your real picture to replace the avatar pic?

I have imported a picture and been able to get it to show in my profile but not in my messages.?

• I have imported a picture and been able to get it to show in my profile but not in my messages. I comment on the yahoo stock boards a lot and would like to replace my avatar with a imported pic that will show up when I post comments. Can this be done? Help it's driving me crazy.

  Yeah, there's a serious glitch with this particular messenger function and there has been one for more than 2 weeks now. Yahoo has been informed about many, many times and all we can do is wait for them to patch it. If things were working right you could open Messenger and click Messenger on the Tool bar>> My Display Image>> Share My Picture, choose the image of your choice by clicking one or the other and you shouldn't have any more problems with your picture disappearing! Obviously if you don't have a picture, you click Select or Customize and follow the prompts from there. Once you get your photo or avatar onto Messenger, you have to restart your computer in order to finalize the changes and the next time you open Messenger, your Display Image will be there for all to see. At a later date, when you're not trying to set your display image up. Just open that page, click on a picture and it will be removed, also, you can add quite a few different photos of yourself and archive them there to use as you choose. Some people display different images depending on how they're feeling that day, including me. Good luck.
