How do you get that avatar thing as your display picture?

i seen people with a avatar (a cartoon type person) as their profile pic and each person has like their own personalized one ... please tell me how you do it! :) it would be greatly appriciated:) thanks!

Click "My Activity" at top of page Select "Edit My Preferences" Click "Update photo or avatar" Follow instructions to select your photo/avatar Click "Submit" on bottom of original page when done To make a carton avatar: http://avatar.yahoo.com Make sure your Pulse profile is not hidden. :o)

For a pic or avatar. Go to edit my preferences at the right of your avatar click update photo or avatar.you can get an avatar at http://avatars.yahoo.com/home.php?g=fIn the box that opens select add photo or customize avatar. Folow the instructions and job done. Make sure your pulse is not set to private as that stops it from appearing,
