How do I get rid of photo and Profile and Connections links?
-
When I open my Yahoo! Mail Classic, the main window now has a place for my photo (it says Update Your Photo) and links to Profile and to Connections, and says number of unread messages in my Inbox (Inbox is a link). I don’t know exactly how this happened. I think at some point earlier a window opened that had not opportunity to close it, and so I guess I accepted it, and after that the change (see first paragraph) occurred. How do I get rid of photo and links to Profile and Connections (see first paragraph). I have no desire at this time for my photo to appear or for the services offered by these links.

Answer:
You cannot get rid of those links they are just shortcuts to your regular Yahoo! Profile so that if you want you can get to your profile quickly. The Connections link just takes you to the Connections page of your regular Yahoo! Profile. You do not have to have any Connections if you do not want to. The picture that show is the Avatar or other Profile photo you are using on your regular Yahoo! Profile. You cannot remove it from Yahoo! Mail. All you can do is choose not to have a Profile photo. Then you will not have one showing in Yahoo! Mail but will be the default gray smiley square. I am going to give you a link to learn more about the new Yahoo! Profile system and those features.
