How can I change my Yahoo screen name to my real name?

How can I change my Yahoo! messenger screen name?

  • I've already seen all of the other answers to this question, but those were from a few years ago and I guess they don't work anymore, because now on "Account Information" you can't change your name. At least, easily. Please help me? Does anyone know how? Oh, and the name that greets you when you sign into your yahoo mail account too.

    To change your Yahoo Messenger display name that you see at the top you need to change your My Contact Details. Click the Messenger menu at the top of Y!M and choose My Contact Details. Type in the First name and last name you want people to see if they add you from now on or if you want the first and last name you have used on My Account Info then you can leave it blank. Now it is the Nickname on that page that will change what you see at the top of Yahoo Messenger and it will also be seen by those who add you. If you do not want to use a nickname then just change the First and Last name and that will also change what you see at the to of Yahoo Messenger. Be sure to save your changes. Now as far as what is seen on Yahoo! Mail, well I tested this out for about 10 minutes and found out that the name that shows there is what is the first name where it says Full Name on your regular Yahoo Profile.
