How can I add someone to my address book on Yahoo?

How can I find someone on Yahoo if i only have their yahoo id?

  • i am trying to find someone who just requested i add them to my address book. All I have is their yahoo id.

  • Answer:

Even if you do locate their Yahoo Profile using the one of the methods I tell you about, it is still never a good idea to add a stranger for privacy and safety reasons. People can write anything they want on their profiles. HOW CAN I LOCATE PEOPLE ON YAHOO! If you know their Yahoo ID then use this link to copy and paste into the address bar of your browser window http://profiles.yahoo.com/ . Do not click this but copy and paste it into your browser window and right after the final forward slash / type in their Yahoo ID with no space between the slash and ID. Please note that a person can choose to hide their Profile. Also they might not even have set up their new Yahoo Profile and they may have set it up so as to not be searchable (sometimes this just means they didn't set it up correctly). OTHER SEARCH OPTIONS *************************** You can also try the Search on your Profile. http://profiles.yahoo.com/people-search/ You will have to sign in if you are not already. Try searching with their full email address first if you have it. That seems to work better than just regular Yahoo ID. You can also search by first and last name.
