Can Yahoo Messenger display the wrong avatar picture?

I changed my avatar picture, but a friend of mine was seeing a diffrent picture, not the one I had before, but a picture used a while ago that was automaticaly saved by Yahoo. My Yahoo Messenger was showing the right picture, the one I had chosen to display. Is this possible? Could it be an error from the messenger program, or from the Yahoo server, where the avatar pictures are saved?

Answer:
ask your friend to dump his avatar cache... C:\ Program Files\ Yahoo!\Messenger\ Cache\ Avatars doing so should pull your new avatar rather than reusing a previous one stored in his cache :)
