  Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. Go to your Yahoo Answers profile at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about Click on "update photo or avatar" and a small window will open Select the photo you want to use To add a new "cartoon" avatar click on "customize avatar" or go directly to http://avatars.yahoo.com and return after creating the avatar.
