How do you make your avatar your profile picture on yahoo answers?

Before starting: Before starting you must have an avatar already made. Just in case you have not already made an avatar I will write the step-by-step process of how to do that before I start my answer, but hopefully you've already done this! =] Making an Avatar: 1) Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com 2) Because the first time I made my avatar was so long ago I can't remember what appears when you visit that page for the first time but i think they ask you for your gender, which will be the gender of your avatar. Click the right one and press OK 3) On the top left of the page you should see your avatar at the moment. This is how all avatars begin. Above your avatar should be a bunch of faces which will change the mood of your avatar and show that on it's face. If you look directly across from that you will see the words Home, Appearance, Apparel, Extras, Backgrounds, Branded and My Favourites*. Clicking on these will show you things that by clicking on them will appear on your avatar. Keep doing this until your happy. 4) I don't have to tell you much more because I'm sure you will find out how to use the rest of the things by just mucking around but there is one more thing I have to tell you about making an avatar: ALWAYS SAVE. When you have finished these steps you can continue. Making your avatar your profile picture: 1) First, go to http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit 2) Somewhere on the left side of the page should be that face which is your profile picture at the moment whichyou must want to get rid of. Next to that should be your name and then under that should say 'Update photo or avatar' click on that. 3) Click on the avatar you would like to be your profile picture then click 'use Selected Photo' Congratulations! - Finally done! =] Heres an idea... Under your avatar/s should also be the buttons Add Photo and Customise Avatar. By clicking on Customise Avatar you can update your avatar or by clicking Add Photo you can make your profile picture a photo of whatever you like!! I hope this helps!

I notice that you have hidden your profile. You can use a cartoon avatar but for a profile picture to appear here it can't be hidden. If you do not want information public then you can hide each element or leave it blank. If you have already created an avatar and it is not appearing be sure to follow step Ⓒ completely.
