If I'm black, why is my profile picture white?

I don't understand it....... I'm pretty sure I'm white inside though. is that possible?????

Go to the avatar page and click Appearances, at the very top of the page you'll see skin color, simply choose the one that best reflects yours. Being Black, I won't speak on your insipid editorial.
