Why can't I see incoming or outgoing IMs?

Aim help! when someone whose not your friend ims you and you exed out and now you cant see the convo...etc?

• if someone ims me while im away and there not on my buddylist, i accidently closed the box and now i cant see what they said..is there anyway i can still see what they said..when i click on there screen name the convo doesnt come up..this is for the newest aim version. Please this is really important(oh and the person who imed me is now offline.)

  It's because the person is offline. If you are logging your chats, then it should be in that folder (check if you are in Edit>settings>IM archives) You can try double clicking the persons screen name in the offline section. What they wrote should be there. Also, if they sign back on it should be there also. The only thing is, if you signed off before or will soon, then it will be gone unless it's stored in the logs.
