How can I put a Yahoo picture in my profile?

How to put my yahoo profile picture and name back to the way it was?

  • Ok so i come on to yahoo answers and apparently they change the account stuff. Because it was updated or something of that sort. Im not exactly sure of what they did but my profile picture on here and name disappeared. can anyone see it? No? then you see my problem. So i want to create that 2-D character as my profile picture again how do i do that? the new version is only allowing real pictures of myself. and i don't really want that. please help me. THANKS!

  • Answer:

You probably still have them, you've just set yourself to private on your new Yahoo Profile page, it looks like. Click your non-avatar, click "View Pulse" there - and poke around your settings so that they are not set to "Private". See if that makes your images return here. As to a 2D avatar, you can do that still. Click "Edit My Preferences" > "Update Photo / Avatar" and the popup SHOULD have both the "Add Photo" AND "Customize Avatar" link. That 2nd one is the one you want. You can also change your avatar here: http://avatars.yahoo.com And then update as above.

Go into your settings and unhide your profile. I had mine hidden and it had the generic logo and nothing I done would make it like I had it. I unhide it and wala I can have one like I want it. Well sort of. At least it's not the colored box any more.
