How do I delete yahoo messenger but keep my yahoo?

I want to keep a yahoo account, .but wish to delete the yahoo id on messenger. Can't figure out how to remo

  • I want to remove my yahoo id from a shared yahoo messenger on a computer, but keep the yahoo account. I just want to remove it from the drop-down menu of id's in the sign-in space when messenger first comes up.

go 2 ur profile and hit delete then create u a new one

U cant delete ur yahoo answers or any other yahoo service account individually. If u wish to delete ur account, u shall hv to delete ur full yahoo account. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/changing_users/edit-23.html Please click the above link and then click on account deletion in the third last para of the page. A new window will open and will guide u further in solving ur problem. Or Go to https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user and click on terminate account. It will solve ur problem.
