How do I chance my Avatar into a real picture?

What has my avatar picture gone?

  • For some reason my avatar picture has disappeared. I have gone into edit my profile and the green button is lit for "no picture" The button which allows you to use your avatar picture to be used says "no avatar picture" and won't let me click on it. Where has the avatar gone (I can see it if I go to "get avatar") but there is NO WAY to put it back on.?

    It pays to read the special notices on the home page. They're changing the whole system of using avatars throughout all of Yahoo! Go to the Yahoo! Answers home page. There's a notice there about the change that includes a link. We can no longer use the 360 images. All avatars will be one size. Whatever avatar you choose to put in your profile (link is provided once you click on the first link), is the image that will be used with all Yahoo! services. If using the Yahoo! (cartoon) avatar, you still have to go the the link given for your profile to make sure that image is chosen. I've changed mine in my Yahoo! profile, but haven't gone into my Y!A profile to make any changes, even though the new one shows up in my profile. It seems to be gradually showing up.

You are so not alone. This happened to me earlier this a.m. when I answered a question & NOT ONLY was my Pic gone...but someone elses pic was in my place and mine in theirs....I was ready to call out the hounds thinking once again I had been hacked....within about 20 minutes I dd have it back....I am waiting for he other shoe to drop for now I have NO 360....just profile with more on it as far as people...other people go than I think it is is ANY of yahoos stinking business to give out. I am stiseethingror pic/avatar will be back...REALLY ~ Oh I wrote to yahoo alright...but mine with God knows just how many other people who wrote in also will most likely just be not paid attention to.....they have a penchant for messing up or'fixing things ' that are not even close to broken. I do know that this has been going on a LOT longer than just today....I was not able to make a 360 full stop for ages....and no one beleived me...but i couldn't make one...a 360 that is ....and this has been since last year. Yahoo couldn't help me, putting the errorof judgement on ME ~ Now who is laughing? This is ridiculous. I would at his point like to know when they re goig to get around to my last appeals....S-L-O-W.....it is likened to a free clinic in their methods ~ Just because it is free it can shoddyody huh? Well 1) I didn't get the memo that stated thsubterraneanean quality would suffice 2) reading their blogs is useless and uninformative..... 3) Yahoo does NOT communicate very well...and this site or format is all about communication.....I think someone may have spiked their coffee this time. You will get your avtartar back..i know...hundreds of people are through this...strangely I see that people who are TC in Yahoo Answers manage to have their avatars. Well? (Rhetorical...) You should have it back if not momentarily then as quick as can be....i am waiting for mine to disappear again....and then resurrect me into some demi goddess (jk...THAT is not going to happen~!!!!) & I doubt that all of their drama is over with.
