Why can't I change my Yahoo account profile information?

Due to personal reasons, I had to delete my Facebook account and create a new one under a false identity that only a few close friends knew about that I would use only for academic-related purposes, or sometimes to play games. Because my Yahoo email account is linked to my Facebook account, I felt it was best to change my profile information for my Yahoo account to ensure no one could find out my real identity. However, even after I updated the changed info multiple times, my name still stays the same. Also, I cannot change the year of my birth. Why is this? If I can't solve this problem then I shall delete my Yahoo account.

Go to this page: http://profile.yahoo.com/3NKQZAK7GZ3YS5Z%E2%80%A6 and click Edit at the top of the page. Edit is the middle icon on the upper, right/hand side of the page. Click on the Icon in the upper left hand corner of each category's square, as that allows you to write whatever details you'd like to add to it, as well as opening the SAVE function for that category. Once you're finished adding details, click SAVE and move on to the next category you choose to add info to, if any. AFTER you click Edit, "Change Picture" will appear on your icon there, click to start the process. After you make and Save your changes, be sure you refresh the page as your changes won't be completed until you do. If you don't know how to refresh your Profile page, just click away from it, then click back on it so the page closes and reopens. ~m~
