How do I change my screen name on Yahoo Messenger???

    if you're after quick fix.. login to Yahoo! Messenger click on Messenger select My Contact Details at the top is Name: followed by First (Name) Last (Name) Nickname to stop Yahoo! Messenger accessing the default details stored in your Yahoo! Account information, ALL 3 fields should be complete. if you want to make sure your default details are never sent out then you need to edit your account information (the form you filled out when you signed up for your yahoo id) http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_profile Once there... 1.Ignore the first instance of your Names, scroll down the page until you see Address / Contact Information, click Edit... 2. now at the top of the page should be Your Name, edit both fields 3. hit Finished, if prompted, then confirm your password, you will be redirected back to your Yahoo! Account Information page where you can see the changes, if you're happy with the results, click Finish again, then exit out of your browser and log back into Yahoo! Messenger. to change the details ppl have if you are already on their friends list they will need to delete you from their friends list AND address book and then re-add you, or you can sent them your Contact Details we have articles covering the options at http://www.wackyb.co.nz/Yahoo!_Messenger_version_8_Account_Information/ and http://www.wackyb.co.nz/Yahoo!_First_and_Last_Name_Showing/ if you need more help :) please be aware the above will not impact on ppl who already have you on their friends list / address book, they will need to delete you from both then re-add you to remove your name etc, or you could try sending them your contact details via Yahoo Messenger

u can NOT do it from yahoo messenger. But from yahoo mailbox u can. When u sign in to your yahoo email, on right top side of the first page of mailbox, there is a tab with the name "options" after the tab of "Mail Upgrades" please click that. Then on the left side panel, in the last there is a field "Account Information" click that. it will ask ur password again. This is Yahoo ID Card. (the same page u can use to change ur password) At the last of this page there is a heading "Address/Contact Information" and "EDIT" is written in the same line. Click it. Now the first field is YOUR NAME, u can change ur name here. Don't forget to press "Finish" at the bottom of that page after changing ur name. Now u can see in Yahoo ID CARD that ur name has been changed. Press "Finished" again, sign out and sign in again. You are done. Your yahoo messenger nick is changed, and when u will send emails from ur yahoo mailbox, this new name will appear on the inbox of the recipient. i hope i've helped u.
