Does the Nokia n81 support yahoo messenger and Skype?

What are the cordless phone and/or adapter options to use with Yahoo Messenger AND Yahoo Telephone accounts?

  • i use Yahhoo Messenger Voice and Yahoo Voice Telephone extensively and i'm trying to break the headset tie to the computer to allow greater convenience and freedom of movement. i see theta there is a new Vtech IS6110 as well as an older Vtech 7200 and Linksys CV310 that work with Yahoo Messenger. Will the Vtech phones both support Yahpp Telephone as well? (the Linksys states that it will do so), .. and are there any other patch cord adaptors or other options that will allow the use of any standard cordless phone? i'm not interested in Skype or Vonage as these don't seem to offer substantial benefits over what i use now, so the corless phones specific to those services are not an option. Thanks!!

I'm sorry - I know this probably doesn't help you, but have you looked at Magic Jack? We have one and I absolutely love it. You plug a regular phone into it and dial and talk like normal. http://www.magicjack.com It's $20 for the little contraption (about the size of a pudgy thumb drive) and then $20/year for unlimited calls to US and Canada from anywhere in the world (as long as you have high speed internet, of course). I use one at home, and I have one that I travel with -- as long as I'm at a hotel with high speed, I can just unplug the hotel phone and voila!! I can phone anyone I want. It also has a good voice mail service, call forwarding, and you can choose any number you want (so I have Florida and Nevada numbers, and thus my FLoridian and Nevadan friends can call me for free as it's a local number for them). No -- I don't sell them. Wish I did! I'd be rich by now! I just like recommending products I am happy with.
