There is no reason for what u can't send sms...but it definitely depends on the mobile network u want to send the sms to...coz all mobile services and all handsets are not facilitated with that service. Voice calls are very easy...double click on the name from your buddy list or type the name on the chat box whom u want to call and then just click the phone icon on the left hand side of the chat box that connects you to the person you want to call.All you need is a microphone to talk or speakers,only to listen.
