Can you do three-way calling on skype?

How to take away annoying noises when calling with Skype, using a Mac?

• HELP! I have a IMac G5, with the latest Skype for Mac installed. Everytime I call someone with Skype, the other person will hear terrible noises (interference?) that get louder and louder, till I have to end call. I dont hear any strange noise, just the persons I call can hear it. It varies, from just like a shhhhhhhhh type to a tutttt-tuttttt and you name it strange noises. I checked on internet, it appears to be a bug of the Skype for Mac version... But, not everybody that use Skype on Mac have this problem!!! Any idea???? Thanks a LOT.

  It's very difficult to help you with this problem I had the same problem under vista and it had to do with the configuration of the microphone. It can also be a problem with the microphone itself. See if you can borrow or buy another microphone and try calling someone with skype. If the problem is solved, it was the microphone, if it isn't, it's probably the configuration. I've never worked with a Mac, so I don't really know where the options are, but try to find the options for the microphone and make sure the sound doesn't get boosted too much. There is also an option in skype for microphone configuration, uncheck the option "let skype adjust my microphone settings" (or something like that), or if that isn't checked, check it. Test several settings until you notice improvement. In my case the problem was the battery, when I plugged my laptop in because my battery was low, skype started to make noises on the other end of the line. Unplugged, it worked perfectly.
