Is there a way to record my voice on my computer?

HELP!!! Can I record a voice message (for up to 5 minutes using yahoo messenger?

• I want to record a testimonial for someone "live" by recording myself talking and sending the file to her. I am not computer savvy, so I am looking for the most simplistic way to go about doing this. I have yahoo messenger downloaded (and so does the person I need to send the live testimonial to). I asked this question somewhere else and someone said that I could leave a voice mail on my friend's computer. Then once I have invited them to be on your friends list, and vice versa for them. How do I go about doing this after I have yahoo messenger installed? The step-by-step procedure? Is there a link that shows how to do this? And what is the maximum time the voice message can be? Is there a time limit? And is the quality of sound okay? I would appreciate so much someone's help! Thank you so much in advance.

  You could use recorder, Start > Programmes > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound recorder I think it doe's 60 second recordings but you can butt them together, and once the file is saved send it any way you like, e-mail or via messenger, i doubt that voice messages allow five minutes at a time and all messages would be seperate so they would have to keep accepting and opening them.
