Why can't I have a voice conference in Yahoo Messenger?

Yahoo Messenger Voice Conference buttons disabled?

  • I have experience this lately using WIN-XP and YM ver. 8.1.0.249. I cannot use voice conference because TALK, Hands Free button are disabled, BUT calling function on yahoo messenger works fine.. The only problem right now is that I cannot voice conference either publicly or privately. I have tried public chat but can clearly hear the voice or sounds from other people. AND i also noticed before that people that can hear or speak on conference HAVE icons with headset on it BUT right now all I can see are icons that don't have. So, anyone does experience this.... ???

  • Answer:

    Go to your messenger upper right corner click on "help" then click on " check for updates" once you update your yahoo messenger and restart your computer it SHOULD be fixed. It worked for mine.
