How to make the webcam work in YM?

I had a version of ym and could talk with gf on webcam and could call switched to version 10 n now doesnt work?

i had everything in german so i asked a buddy to switch it to english. I am not good with computers so i thought everything would be the same i could see my girlfriend on web cam and even call her by ym and now im not able to. theres a message that reads that her ym doesnt support voice calls and web cam. whats the deal it worked fine before is there another version of ym that would work better and one that i dont have to pay for

I think you have Messenger 10 and your girlfriend doesn't - you may be trying to video chat with her and her version doesn't support video calls Use the webcam invite instead - the same as before > Actions > More Actions > Invite to view my webcam Messenger Versions here http://www.filehippo.com/download_yahoo_messenger/ To check your version > Help > About Yahoo Messenger
