Having Problems with Yahoo Phone Texting?

My girlfriend is getting texts from my phone number, but it is not me who is texting her. She is also getting texts with wierd characters, upside down question marks and other things. It is almost like someone else has my yahoo phone number. Has anyone else had this type of problem and how long did it last?
