How do I text to someone's cell from my computer?

Does it cost to text message from computer to cell phone from state to state?

  • i live in Mo and my grandaughter lives in Kansas and she text messages me all the time ,does it cost me to text message her back from my computer? also can I call her on her cell phone from my computer does it cost me?
