Does it cost to text message from computer to cell phone from state to state?

i live in Mo and my grandaughter lives in Kansas and she text messages me all the time ,does it cost me to text message her back from my computer? also can I call her on her cell phone from my computer does it cost me?

To send text messages from your computer to any cell phone anywhere in U.S.A does not cost as long as u can send the message. But to call any phone numbers from a computer will cost you, and to make a call from your computer to an number u need to sign up for it on your pc
