How To Check If Someone Is Invisible On Skype?

My Skype keeps zooming in on my face?

I'm just trying to normally Skype with people and like I have a Mac, the green button that shows when the webcam on will flash and then ill go check up on it and BAM its zoomed in on my face its so embarrassing and like I would un do the webcam and put it back on, on Skype. Then it would do it again like later on! I noticed the problem started happening after I upgraded to Lion OS X but I'm not sure because I also just upgraded the Skype version as well. I just got a new Mac Laptop the newest kind, with Lion OS X and i'm not sure if it will do the same, can someone please help me?! Thank you :)
