Do web cam calls cost money?

  • Do web cams just go over the internet, or do they use your phone and it is charged to the phone bill.

  • Answer:

    they go over the internet. if you use a free site like http://www.6rounds.com you won't have to pay anything extra, unless for some reason your Internet service provider only provides a very small amount of bandwith and charges you if you go over (I doubt this though)

The internet mainly. If you use Skype, even the free version allows free video calls. It is one of the programs I use when traveling.
