How to check my voice mail without ringing the phone?

K. I want to check my boyfriend's voice mail messages on his phone. I know I can just dial his mobile number, then press * or # but I do not want his phone to ring. If I call he will recognize my number and unfortunately he does not accept private calls. I KNOW there is a way to check your voice mail messages from another phone without actually dialing the number because I saw Kim Kardashian do it on TV and I heard of many men and women catching their spouses cheating by doing this. PLEASE HELP :) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
