• i just saw a tour of yahoo messenger pc to mobile call servie and am thinking of buying a $25 prepaid card. i live in the us and i call japan frequently. my question is that do they charge any extra fee besides phone charge? when i bought a prepaid phone card at a drug store it charged me a $3 connection fee everytime i make a call and it was a ripper.

  Yahoo! Phone Out does not charge any extra fees or hidden charges. When you prepay $25.00, your fund are depleted on a per call basis, based on the country you are calling, that country's corresponding rate, and the duration of that call. AND THAT IS IT. There are NO connection fees, NO monthly charges. The Yahoo! Phone IN service (having a phone number attached to Messenger so you can receive incoming calls) is a subscription based plan that is $2.99 a month. However, this does not affect your Phone Out account at all. There is even a help page titled "Are there any monthly or extra fees for using Yahoo! Voice services?" located at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger75/billing/billing-08.html.
