How do I get yahoo messenger to video chat on my pc?

  • I installed yahoo messenger on my pc to video chat with my iphone4. The web cam turns on and I can broadcast video but as soon as I try to connect a video call to my iPhone the web cam on the pc goes to turn on and then an error message pops up and shuts down yahoo messenger. The help page says to update java, adobe, and ie and clear history. I've done that and no change. I'm running vista on an hp laptop with a built-in web cam. What else could fix this?

    In Messenger, click Messenger on the Tool bar and scroll to Sign into a Mobile Device, during the course of signing up, you're going to see the option, Automatically sign me into my mobile phone whenever I log out of Messenger. Fill in the box and continue with your registration. Once done, Yahoo will send a 4 digit code to your phone acknowledging the set-up and from there, you'll be good to go.
