Where can I get the original Half-Life for PC?

How do I get my pc to pc to work. If I get a call I push accept but I can't hear them and they don't hear me.

• When I try to contact someone on pc to pc I can't get them to hear me nor do I hear them. I am not too sure how this goes but I would like to know. I push call and it rings and if they accept they can't hear me or can I hear them. Is there something else I am supposed to do. I do have a good microphone and it works on a conference call but not on the pc to pc. Please help

  The "call" uses a different technology to the "Conference" or Voice Chat - so if u r ok in conference it at least shows your mic etc is working, but doesn't always mean you must also be able to use Call. Having said that, it DOES in 99% of cases, so I wonder what's blocking you ? - Have you tried disabling your FIREWALL THEN trying Call ? And also, have you failed the same way on Call with different people ? (If just with 1 person, then it could be THEIR problem, not yours). Also, I wonder if u r able to send a VM (voice mail), if you Call someone who doesn't answer ? Or for that matter whether you can hear VMs that people might send to you ? Post more under Additional Details if u like - I think we should be able to resolve this! [[[LATER]]] Thx 4 further info. Again I wonder, have u tried disabling your firewall - not permanently, but just for a brief test to see if THAT's the root of the problem ? Also I wonder if you and someone else can use the Voice Chat with both of you on Hands Free ? Because THAT is a normal feature of Call - and I guess it may be possible that your sound card is simply not up to a "full duplex", i.e. both mics open all the time, conversation. And finally (for now!?) I'd ask if u r on a home network (could be a router setting problem), or just simply one PC connecting direct to internet.
