How do you send messages on Yahoo?

How do you block people that send you text messages from Yahoo! Messenger?

  • My girlfriend and I just broke up and she has my number and she has a Yahoo! account so she is able to get on Yahoo! Messenger and send me text messages from there ...Is there any way to block her from sending me text messages on her Yahoo! Messenger account? If so, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! She is getting VERY annoying !

    There's a couple of things you can do. Click Messenger scroll to Privacy, then Ignore List and place that address there, click Apply, then Okay. By pacing them on your Ignore List (Messenger's Spam list, basically) their messages will be blocked before you ever see them and that seems to be what you want. This will keep them from ever getting to you through Messenger again. Another thing to do would be to open another email account on Yahoo and use that account for all of your surfing, that way any mail sent will be sent to that box where you can simply mark everything there as Spam and delete it without even having to look at them! I do both.

Write down her/his email id and delete that id from your contact list and wait whenever he/she send msg just click on add to ignore list. that's all you can do, simple block that id but make sure you have deleted that id before you block.

blocking her doesn't make sense since YMessenger can send text to anybody as long the recipient's phone is capable to receive and send too. there is nothing you can do except to report it to Yahoo Customer Service Center. BUT this isn't always a solution as she can use different accounts to send you annoying messages also. anyways, do not try to reply her messages, in that way, three or more attempts of sending as long as you won't reply, she can no longer send some more. rather, she will get a notification message that you have to reply one to her messages before she can send again!
