How do i change my display name in Yahoo chat room?

How do I change my display name in yahoo chat rooms. I've tried everything. I am NOT trying to make a alias.?

• How do I change/add a display name that will show up in yahoo chat rooms? I've edited the nickname line on My Contact Details under Messenger menu but that does no good. I've gone into my profile, and edited my nickname there but that does no good either. I would be happy if anyone could tell me what to do, or suggest some sort of program to help me with this. I am also NOT trying to create a Alias, that is different from a Display Name.

  When u signed in to yahoo mail, hold the cursor on ur name e.g. “Hi Caramel ”); select and click on “Account info” this will take u to such a page as below, Yahoo! ID Card Name: Caramel Yahoo! ID: vvvvvvvvvv Yahoo! Mail Address: [email protected] Password: Change Password Member InformationEdit Gender: Female Birthdate: On file Industry: Other Occupation: Other ______________________________... Time Zone: U.S. Pacific Preferred Content: Yahoo! U.S. Prompt for Password: Every 2 weeks Email Information Edit Yahoo! Mail Address: [email protected] Edit your marketing preferences. Address/Contact Information Edit (click this button) Name: Ms Caramel (change this name) Home Address: nvnnvnv Phone: - not set - Mobile: - not set - Fax: - not set - ______________________________... Work/School Address: Kenya Phone: - not set - Fax: - not set - Then click on the edit button alongside the “Address/Contact Info”, Change your first name; save changes by clicking on the “Finished” button at the end of the page.
