Why cant i open other windows from my yahoo messenger?

Well, i've always checked my email by clicking from the yahoo messenger. But now i click on the icon and no window opens, my friends send me links and no window opens when i click on it. I tried to check my voice messages and the window opens but i can not hear the message but the sound in yahoo is working properly. I have just removed the yahoo tool for uploading pics thats all. But I remember i never had this problem before i installed that tool for pics. Can you help me?
