How do i get rid of windows live msn beta?

I can't install Windows Live Messenger AT ALL! HELP!?

  • Okay, so for you computer people out there, I have a problem. I just cleaned my hard drive and got rid of a bunch of stuff, including all of my messengers, MSN, AIM, yahoo and its components. okay, so THEN, I went on that one website to get windows live messenger, version 8 - http://get.live.com/messenger/overview ( Windows Live Messenger Beta 9 completely screwed me over ) So, it asked me if I'd like to install it, and I pressed 'Install' and it came up with this notice ... This one ---> http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x180/KataraLove/untitled.jpg If it's temporarily unavailable, it's been that way for a few months now ... I'm obviously connected to internet, I'm talking to someone through googletalk right now xD My computer is not protected by a firewall or proxy. What am I supposed to do?? :( And, with AIM, it gets downloaded to the desktop, but then when I run the installer and finish installing it, AIM opens real fast and then closes immediately. :( AND with Yahoo messenger, I can sign on and see my buddy list, but when I try to IM someone, nothing appears in the buddy chat box, like, literally nothing, no matter how much I type and send... Help!!! PLEASE!

Hello Kristi- My name is Jeff and I work alongside the Windows Outreach Team. Try downloading Windows Live Messenger from this site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d78f2ff1-79ea-4066-8ba0-ddbed94864fc&displaylang=en#Requirements Also, make sure you have downloaded Internet Explorer 6 SP1 or higher and that your computer meets the additional requirements listed on the link provided above. Windows Live Messenger will not work on older IE versions. Good Luck, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

I'm not 100% sure this will work, but first try downloading with a different internet browser. Since your computer isn't protect by a firewall, chances are your computer may contain a virus. The virus is preventing you from opening programs. I've had the same problem but with different applications. The virus spools.exe is extremly hard to remove. Google it up and there should be a website that assist you on how to remove it. Note:You won't be able to download Msn Beta 9 with SP1 For Professional, it must be SP2,SP3 or higher. You could also find a downloadable installer for Msn, and try it
