How do I uninstall Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger?

I installed Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger about 4 months ago. Ever since then, every time I turn my computer on, these two programs keep popping up and asking me to log in. It was getting annoying so I went to Start, All Programs and deleted both programs. The next day I turn my computer on, with the two programs removed from the Start icon, but they still pop up and tell me to log in! Please help! How do I uninstall these two programs so they don't pop up every time I turn my computer on. If it helps, I have Windows XP. Thanks!

Hi Alex,You can uninstall Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger by going to control panel>add or remove programs.Then choose Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger to uninstall it.
