What does 'idle' mean in Yahoo! Messenger?
-
...You know, in your status, my friend's status always says 'idle', and there's a clock next to her smiley face. So what does this mean?
-
Answer:
Idle means they are signed in to Messenger, but they are not actively using it. The little "clock" tells you how long they have been idle. Usually, depending how you have it set up, your online status changes automatically to IDLE after 15 minutes of inactivity. ¢
