Why can't I install Windows Live Messenger?

Cant install windows live messenger!?

  • Recently my msn hasnt been working, so i went on the help icon. i tried everything on there and in the end it said if its still not working, just uninstall and then reinstall and it should work. I un-installed it but no it wont let me reinstall!! It tells me that I need to install 2 other things before i can install windows live messenger. I have tried to do those but msn is still not installing!! I am getting more and more frustrated!! How can i install it?!!

    I have windows live msn but that never happened to me. Maybe its because you have some kind of virus softwear that won't let your windows live install cuz it sees it as a threat or it might be windows live msn you want to install it might be a newer version and your computer isn't strong enough for it, it could be a virus on your computer (probably not) and finally try restarting your computer. I don't know what else to say so I hope I could help :) :-) :-D

i cant remember the exact cause of the missing files, but anytime i want to install ym, i use the standalone files.. google "yahoo messenger standalone offline installer" download the whole file (16mb) and run from there rather than using the yahoo webpage "install manager" (400kb) http://xh.yimg.com/gj/msgr/10/client/ymsgr1000_1270_us.exe (YM10 install standalone full download, easier to install) http://xh.yimg.com/gj/msgr/11/client/ymsgr1100_1751_us.exe (YM11, integration with fb and twitter, backup your archived messages first)
