How to delete a contact from yahoo messenger?

  • Folks, So many times this question has been asked and i haven't found answer yet.. I want to delete contacts from yahoo messenger i m selection option of deleting from address book... still no luck i try clearing cache and still no luck do anybody has steps which they followed successfully to delete contacts? please reply! thx mihir

    I looked it up for you...here is a solution from this website: http://chat-clients.com/y-8-0/039.html This happens when you delete to many contacts within so many hours not sure how many and how long i think it something like 6 contacts within 2 hours your best bet it to delete like 6 every 2 hours. you can also try deleting these contacts through the yahoo web site http://address.yahoo.com/ and login and you will see your friends list just delete the ones you want i am not 100% sure if this one has a limit as well but other people say it worked fine.

After log on to your messanger list, select that specific person contact, then by right clicking with the help of mouse there is a option available to delete contact detail of that person.

Dear Mihir, deleting contacts by right clicking on the name should work. i have tried myself and i succeeded. when i logged in for the next time it was not in my friend's list. this should work in your case also. anyway, i lost one of my contacts while experimenting. now i will have a hard time explaining her why i deleted her name from my friend list. thx

Hey, guys! I am sure he has tried the right click delete option. I am currently struggling with the same problem and have a question up about it. It is BEYOND frustrating. I can't *permanently* add anyone to my ignore list or *permanently* delete them. They are "deleted" until I sign back on and then, BAM, they reappear. I am noticing more people have this problem than I realized. I have over 85 contacts and would like to narrow mine down. Good luck with this! If you figure it out, please let me know and I'll do the same for you. :)

Well,.. you can try one thing. First, delete the contact in your yahoo mail. Then try deleting in Yahoo messenger,if you find one.
