How secure is yahoo messenger cam?

Mac cam doesn't work with Yahoo Messenger?

  • I've got a new web cam (mac cam) but it doesn't work with Yahoo Messenger... I have a Mac OS X 10.4.8 system... the cam is plugged in, it works if I turn it on but in Yahoo it looks like it doesn't exist...I use Yahoo Messenger 3.0 beta. Any ideas or help is appreciated! Thanks!

    maybe you need a driver to make it work? http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/ maybe you bought the wrong camera? http://www.ecamm.com/mac/imagewebcam/ but first see if it works with a better program like iChat! the Yahoo Messyger program for the mac barely does anything... it has problems with firewalls and most cams, it doesn't do audio.... it's pretty much worthless!

Hi,my cam wont work on yahoo messenger ,I did upgrade to a new yahoo messenger and now its says when I go to use my cam,behind a firewall,not connected.I chat and use cam to talk all over the world and now cant see or let my freinds see me,Thanx
