How can I uninstall yahoo messenger?

• I put a new Hard-Drive in my PC and I never downloaded Yahoo Messenger but on one of my email addresses it pops up with a message from some unknown person "every time" I log on, I don't know the person the messages are from and don't use Yahoo Messenger or any quick messaging service. I'm 62 yrs old and only use the PC for getting at least my brain outside of this house. I have noticed that every site on the Computer make it so easy to sign up that it can be done by a blind-folded 3yr old, but they all hide the un-subscribe opption, or I have to figure out where go to un-subscribe by trial and error and some times it has taken me mutiple hours of my time to stop unwanted emails and the Yahoo Messaging screen Pop-Ups opening "Every Time" I open a certain email account. The Yahoo Messenger has to be connected to that email account because on my primary email account it "Never" Pops-Up. The folks who make it so difficult to unsubscribe are just making us who unfortunatly have had it shoved down our collective throats when downloading some other program, dislike being taken advantage of to the point of resisting using "any" of that sites products or services at all, that's where I'm at now, I'm leaving my Yahoo email account behind and going to MSN just to stop having to dump 2 pop-ups every time I log on to my secondary email account before I can even read my mail, it's kind of like the 16yr old at the McDonalds drive thru telling me that if I buy a certain meal I "MUST" take the French Fries too. If they want to make me do something I don't want to I'm going to do everything I can to keep them from doing it. The whole thing is about selling Pop-Ups add time to Vendors and using me as Bait, and I ain't no Blood Worm..... Now... this part of my message is to those who are hiding the unsubscribe opption to Yahoo Instant Messaging, my only opption that will make me feel like you cannot use me to lure advertising vendors is to dump Yahoo as my Home Page, my email addresses, my search engine and every other Yahoo service I've been using since I started using a Computer 5 years ago, my leaving will not make a difference in Yahoo's Bottom Line but I refuse to allow Yahoo to use me... Bye-Bye Yahoo.....
