Answer:
To make firefox associate with any program, not just yahoo messenger, First you need to set firefox as your default browser if it isn't already. This is how you set it as your default browser if it isn't already: Open firefox, click on Tools-> Options. Make sure ur in the main tab . In the system defaults section at the bottom u'll see ' Always check to see if firefox is the default browser on startup' . Check that box and hit OK. Now restart firefox. It'll then prompt you to set firefox as your default browser. Now whenever you click some link in any program(including yahoo) which requires the browser to open and display, firefox will open up by default. As far as that 'statement' which u get, hit Yes and check the box if it says Never ask me again (something like that)... Now the mail links should open up in firefox when u click on it, without prompting u that 'statement' To further customize firefox's behaviour towards opening links from programs: Open firefox, and type about:config in the location bar In the filter bar which comes up type 'browser.link.open_external' (without quotes) the default value is 3 which means links from programs will open in same window but in a different tab. If you change that value to 1 the links will open in the tab which u already have open . if u change the value to 2 the links will open in a new window of firefox that's it :)

I'm not sure why anyone would want to use Firefox over Internet Explorer. Nonetheless ... go to firefox preferences, and make sure mozilla is the default browser. thats likely to be the problem. good luck :)
