How do you find past Yahoo questions?

How do people on Yahoo Answers find out about the questions you ask?

  • Do they get alerted somehow? I just don't get how you get the right people to find out about and answer your questions.

  • Answer:

    They hang around the site, looking at either the HOME page or the CATEGORY page(s) that most interest them. Lots of us have our own field of expertise, so we stay in that category and watch for questions we think we can answer.

Speaking for myself, I concentrate on those categories I'm most knowledgeable in. This way, I rarely have to look for the answer, but if I do, I know exactly where to go. This makes it fun for me as well as it makes me feel good to be able to help someone get over the hump, so to speak. I remember being SO AFRAID of touching the wrong button or deleting something important that the computer wasn't fun at all and I want people to have fun while on line, not be terrified.... Anyway, that's why I've been here so long and keep coming back.
