How do I get rid of Windows Live?

I want yahoo messenger i have windows now .how can i get rid of windows live id?

i currently have windows livw id for messenger how do i change that to yahoo messenger

I assume there's no way to cancel your Windows Live ID, but it becomes inactive if you do not use it for a long period of time, let's say, for half a year for example. You can still sign up for a new Yahoo Messenger ID, but since yahoo and MSN got into a partnership about two years ago, maybe you will be able to log in to Yahoo Messenger with your Windows Live ID. If not, go to www.messenger.yahoo.com, and sign up for a username.
