Can i use my digital video camera for my webcam?

Can I set up my video camera to use as a messenger webcam on my mac?

Can anyone tell me how/if I can use my video camera as a webcam on messenger? We have latest beta version of messenger amd are running OSX. We are able view camera pic on Imovie but seem unable to configure it on messenger (all web cam options greyed out). Thanks so much! :-)

Hey. For my Mac it was real simple. You have to open iChat. That will bring up the camera and get it going and configured to your computer. Once the camera clicks on and the light says its ready to transmit, just disconnect the cam from iChat and hook it up on Messenger. It worked for me! Sometimes you just have to mess with it for a little.
