Why does my yahoo messerger not open , using Windows Vista?

Dear Friends I have purchased a laptop with Vista installed in it, at first I was able to chat using Yahoo messenger. But as days passed by it gave me an error saying ymessenger something like that, and yahoo messenger would close automatically. So I decided to uninstall and install but since then it is not able to connect to yahoo server. It gives a message saying sign-in or error try later. I even tried re-setting my Firewall but it did not help. But I can chat using MSN messenger.

its probably vista there are some sites that will not let u see the pages if u have vista on ur computer, also works for the messenger
