How do i delete people from the yahoo chat & mobile text list?

I have a little chat box on my yahoo and i added someone then realized i didn't know that person how can i delete that person from my yahoo chat list?

It doesn't matter what device you reach them on, they all have a contact sheet. Click on the person's name in your Messenger list, when their info shows up, scroll to, View/Edit Contact Details and click. Look in the left-hand, bottom corner and click delete, you're going to be asked if you're sure you want to delete this person, give your reply and you're all done.
