Why doesn't Yahoo messenger 360 work?

How do I re-install YAHOO! MESSENGER????

  • My yahoo messenger got accidentaly uninstalled, I dont know by who, but Everytime I try to download the free Yahoo messenger, it doesnt work. I used it all the time, now I'm stuck with just e-mail and yahoo 360!Can any one out there help me to re install it, PLEASE I NEED IT BAD!!!

    The first thing is to make sure that Yahoo has been TOTALLY removed before installing it again. Sometimes the folder remains in your program files directory, you need to remove this. Also, make sure your filewall and anti virus aren't stopping you from not only downloading but installing the program. Windows xp internal firewall will also stop the download from being complete. Turn these off and download and install and signin, then turn them back on.

go to my compurer and go to add/remove progrmas remove anything that ahs the yahoo messenger thing on it and retartyour computer then go download the new messenger and see if that works out fo you

Additional info provided by you clearly tells that u need to be logged on to computer with an administrator account or some other account which has rights equal to an administrator. Assuming you are using "WINDOWS XP" and you get a WELCOME screen when you start your computer, You must be able to see more than one name appearing there, you just need to logon with that account which has admin rights (windows has atleast one admin account for which settings cant be changed). The whole thing now is if you have password for the required account or not. Once you are logged on with admin account, you will be able to gladly re-install Yahoo Messenger.
