Cant see any text in the yahoo messenger?

No matter what i type whether it is a text or a smiley , after typing it in the IM window when i click send it is not getting displayed in the chat window . tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the version 10 and 11 , still cant get a solution . cant enter any chat rooms too , when i click enter room , it is not asking that verification also and i cant even chat with anyone .. please help me ! thanks in advance
